Collaborate with your principal mentor to prepare for these experiences by discussing the following topics:

Overview of the program, including courses, field experience hours, and PSEL standards

Candidate expectations

1. Mentor expectations
2. Field experience planning/internship planning (if applicable) and mapping out any problematic concerns due to the time of year (i.e., holiday breaks and summer vacation)
3. Strategic planning for any breaks to meet course requirements (i.e., if principal mentor is on vacation identify who you can collaborate with to meet requirements/experiences)
4. Networking opportunities within your community to enhance your experience
5. Complete a 150-250 word reflection on your field experience. Incorporate one or more PSEL standards in your reflection.
